Our teen community is collecting winter clothing for our annual Midnight Run event on November 22, where our teens will deliver food and warm clothing to those experiencing homelessness in New York City.

Midnight Run is dedicated to building connections between housed and homeless individuals through late-night relief efforts, fostering trust, understanding, and human connection.

Midnight Run will take place on March 22nd from 6pm to midnight or 1am and teens will start and end the evening at Temple Sinai.

We welcome Temple Sinai teens and friends to join us. Our teens will sort the donated clothing items, pack food, and personally distribute these essentials later that evening in NYC.

We are accepting men’s winter clothing only (please, no children’s clothing). Donations can be dropped off in the Temple Sinai lobby or brought with teens on the evening of November 22nd.

Needed Items:

• Men’s socks and underwear(new)
• Pants (especially jeans)
• Coats and jackets
• Shirts (especially flannel)
• Sweatshirts and sweatpants
• Knapsacks and book bags
• Shoes (especially boots, sneakers, or soft-soled shoes)
• Gloves and mittens
• Warm hats and scarves

Authorization-consent Release: In the event of an emergency at either Temple Sinai of Bergen County or during an off-site program or event, and if the parent listed above cannot be reached, please indicate whether you authorize Temple Sinai of Bergen County to act as your agent and arrange for medical treatment or hospital care for your child/children. If you agree to have the Temple act as your agent in the event of any emergency, then you agree to release Temple Sinai of Bergen County and any of its officers, directors, staff or employees from any and all claims arising from such authorization.

Off-site Activity Transportation Release: In the event my child will participate in activities away from Temple Sinai of Bergen County, I acknowledge that they may be walking or biking, traveling by bus, car, and/or train with another parent, faculty or staff member or volunteer. I hereby give my permission for my child to participate in any such activity.
