7th Grade Experience

NEW for 2025-2026: iGive Intro to Youth Philanthropy for 7th & 8th Grade An engaging and meaningful forum for middle school teens to continue their Jewish learning and engagement, build essential leadership skills, and strengthen social connections.

Temple Sinai is part of the 2025-2026 cohort of iGive, an immersive giving experience that focuses on helping Jewish youth build deep connections to Israel and strong Jewish identities. Through funding directly in Israel, participants explore issues they care about, create new relationships with the country of Israel and explore ongoing engagement with Israel and its peoplehood.

Jewish Youth Philanthropy is a powerful way to engage in meaningful action to change the world. It offers a concrete way to affect change with the tool of philanthropy. Through this method, participants not only make a difference for the causes they fund, but they also learn leadership skills, explore the values that drive them and make commitments for future action in their communities and beyond.

Philanthropy is also a powerful tool to build relationships with funding partners and recipients, while learning about each other and the impacts organizations are having on the ground. In this model our ability to connect and build trust in organizations and their delivery of services and programs, allows us to understand communities and issues in a deeper way. For this reason, exploring how to fund organizations in Israel will provide new insights and allow young people to create relationships based on their interests and areas of concern. This model also creates new relationships with the country for ongoing exploration and engagement

Seventh Grade meets 1-2 times per month on Tuesdays from 5:00 - 6:30pm.
