SISTERHOOD OF TEMPLE SINAI

As the collective voice of the women of Temple Sinai, our mission is to enjoy and explore spiritual and social programs together in friendship and to provide opportunities to perform acts of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world).

The Sisterhood of Temple Sinai is a vital women’s organization, dedicated to preserving our Jewish heritage and passing our traditions and values on to future generations. Our goal is to provide women at Temple Sinai with opportunities to build meaningful relationships in a welcoming Jewish environment. Women come together to make essential contributions within our congregation, community, the State of Israel and the world.

Festival and Simcha Celebrations

Sisterhood supports Break-Fast, Simchat Torah, Sukkot, Chanukah, Purim, Onegs, Kiddushes and more. We give gifts to the children of our congregation in honor of Consecration, Bar/Bat-Mitzvah, and Confirmation. We contribute to the YES Fund, Youth Group, and provide financial aid to families in need. We welcome new members to the Temple, give gifts to our college students while away from home, and do so much more.

Spiritual and Social Programming

The celebration of Rosh Chodesh, the beginning of a Hebrew month, brings together women of Temple Sinai for spirituality, song and discussion among old friends and new. Socially, we begin the Jewish New Year with a popular Sisterhood brunch and close the year with a very well attended dinner celebration. We also lead book reviews and other social events that bring women and families together.

Tikkun Olam

Organizations to which we have contributed include: UJA, General Israel Orphans Home for Girls, Israeli Children Affected by Terrorism; Israel Children’s Cancer Fund; and The Purim Connection. We also support food drives at local homeless shelters and other mitzvah-oriented activities.

Whether you are a Temple or ECC member, or are considering joining our congregation, we look forward to seeing you. Join us at our events, make new friends, and help us build an ever-stronger Temple Sinai community.

Warmly,
Ronni Zlotnick
Sisterhood President
